Matt Wycliffe is an actor, musician and singer. Originally from Birmingham he trained in London at the Arts Educational drama school where he gained a BA Hons in Acting.

 

 

Shortlisted for the WhatsOnStage Awards for best takeover in a role for his perfomance as BOB GAUDIO in JERSEY BOYS at the Prince Edward theatre he is also well known for his portrayal of BUDDY in the BUDDY HOLLY STORY at the Duchess Theatre which was nominated for best revival at the WhatsOnStageAwards.

He has just finished as a member of the original UK touring cast  in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET playing the King of Rockabilly CARL PERKINS

RECENT APPEARANCES

Matt starred as CARL PERKINS in the original UK Tour of  MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET.

MDQ toured for 18months in 2016/17 playing the ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL at the SOUTHBANK CENTRE in London for 3 weeks over the Christmas period. The show also went international playing New Zealand and India.

Thanks to the fantastic support of his friends, family and followers Matt successfully crowdfunded his first album! It features Matt playing every instrument on some of his favourite rock and roll songs. Many of which he has performed in West End shows such as JERSEY BOYS, the BUDDY HOLLY STORY, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET.
